Manager Phil Parkinson said Wrexham's season was "off and running" after their dramatic late comeback and penalty shootout victory over Hull in the Carabao Cup.

Wrexham will go to Championship rivals Preston North End in the second round of the Carabao Cup, with the tie to be played in the week beginning Monday, 25 August.

Wrexham's win on penalties over Hull City in the Carabao Cup first-round meeting has helped it kickstart its campaign after a disappointing loss to Southampton in the Championship, the Welsh club's manager Phil Parkinson said.
