A house fire in north Scottsdale early Friday morning is believed to be caused by lightning as monsoon storms continued to roll through the Valley overnight.

Heavy rain, powerful winds and lightning came down on neighborhoods in much of the north and east Valley. Over 1,000 customers from both SRP and APS were without power overnight.

Brighty the Burro partially survived the flames of the massive wildfire. Crews took photos with the sculpture with most of the top half intact.
