The DNC Credentials Committee voted on Monday to elevate a vote challenging Vice Chairs David Hogg and Malcolm Kenyatta's leadership positions.

The move, which could affect Hogg and Malcolm Kenyatta's vice chair positions, must be adopted by the full national body before it calls a new election.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) trolled President Donald Trump by flying a banner that read “Welcome to Qatar-a-Lago” over Mar-a-Lago Wednesday. The DNC put together the stunt after Trump confirmed that he would be accepting a $400 million luxury jet—dubbed the “palace in the sky”—from the Qatari government.

A release from the Florida Democratic Party announced that eight delegates to the DNC representing Florida, including FDP Chair Nikki Fried, intend to vote against resolutions removing both Hogg and Malcolm Kenyatta of Pennsylvania, who both won Vice Chair posts in February.

The DNC’s credentials committee has decided that there should be a new election for vice chair positions after Kenyatta and David Hogg, the gun control activist and a survivor of the 2018 Parkland, Fla., high school mass shooting, were elected in February.

Hogg appeared on Bill Maher's show recently to discuss the issue and his plan to raise money to primary older Democrats.

The credentials committee of the DNC voted in favor of a resolution voiding the election that made David Hogg and Malcolm Kenyatta vice chairs.

The banner comes as response to Pres. Trump planning to accept a jumbo jet as a gift from the ruling family of Qatar.
