After adapting Viking mythology and a classic vampire tale, Robert Eggers has set his sights on Charles Dickens. IndieWire has confirmed that the “Nosferatu” filmmaker is set to write and direct a new film based on Dickens’ holiday classic “ A Christmas Carol ” for Warner Bros., with his muse Willem Dafoe eyed to star.
The film and television giant will turn its cable networks, including CNN and TNT, into one company and its streaming and studios business into another.
Warner Bros. Pictures is in development with writer/director/producer Robert Eggers for a retelling of the classic Christmas ghost story, "A Christmas Carol," based on the Charles Dickens classic, according to an insider with knowledge of the project.
Warner Bros. Discovery will split into two companies by next year, with much of its streaming and movie production moving under one company and its live sports and news to another, according to the Washington Post .
